    Please Review My Web Page

From what I can see the background image is still up and running! I guess you could just keep the declaration and remove the external links all together. Since you don't have any internal links i.e. a menu it still looks like the external ones are internal. Which means that people will click...

    Stretching container div tags

Have you put any actual text content in the cells? I think it's a thing that happens when you float the internal cells and it won't stretch unless you have a footnote of some kind. I've seen this many times but it always seems to resolve itself. You also don't need a height value for the main...

    Free websites

Ha, that made my day! :p I think you'd be better off asking this question in the Request section. A lot of people need websites and are willing to pay for it, so if you're doing it for free I think you'll get a few nibbles.

    css and tables

Just add a margin to the paragraph tag. I think a Google search for CSS margins should do the trick :) Edit: I assumed that's what you were referring to when you said 'the way I want'

    Please Review My Web Page

I think you'd be better off if you ditched the wallpaper and replaced it with a light blue or plain white color. Also the left-hand navigation should consist of site links instead of external ones, 'cause it's rather confusing. I didn't expect to see a link to Peta on an import/export site. ;)

    Greetings from Bali, Indonesia

Ah, I had to Google 'Bali' just to see some pictures and it looks great! Haven't actually made it to Asia yet but it's on my to do list as well. I just recently got back from a week in the Canary Islands and I'm convinced that the island life is the best life ;) I'm from the cold north so I'm...

    JPEG and PNG

That's quite the nice summary. You obviously know you stuff! If I could add one thing from a designers perspective it would be that PNG images are well supported as long as you don't use transparency, which will render as crazy stripes in browsers prior to IE7. I know I'm basically repeating...

    What do you think?

Well, that's pretty nice! You gotta love neon-green on a dark surface. The one thing that struck me though was that all the links are at the bottom of the page, which isn't too much fun for us with really small lap-tops. Safe to say I have to scroll down to reach them every time I go to a new...

    My website

Word! I thought I was the only one! I'll do a design, spend a week trying to get the colors right, and then two days later I'll go - wow, those colors are horrible! Anyway I think you should go with white-ish colors for a social related site. Most people feel comfortable with white, I...

Curseinswedish - what do you think?

I mean that you should be able to press 'next' to get a new word, so that you don't have to reload the page. It would make the whole thing a little more obvious. I'm sure that if you Google phonetics you'll find something useful!

    Invisible spaces between buttons

I'm pretty sure it's just a margin/padding thing, but could you post the code?

Using different font settings for hyperlinks on the same page.

    Like this you mean? #randomcell a { font-size: 10px;} #anothercell a { font-size: 20px;} This should change the font size of a link depending on which cell it's in.

Curseinswedish - what do you think?

I reckon you could make it into a JavaScript click-through thingy instead, and I suppose you'll also need to write it phonetically (for our non Scandinavian friends!) :)

    Website submission

Ha, I don't think I can make such a high-tech site! ;) wow, that made me sad.. :( Nice hover effect on those links btw!

Comment on html code and css

I checked top to bottom on both the html and the css page, and couldn't for the life of me find anything wrong or something that would cause compatibility issues. W3's Css validation however, complains about a few duplicate color values, but that's just gobbledygook if you ask me. ;) I really...

    my grunge design

I couldn't agree more. The first one is very snazzy looking yet the second one has a more of a, dare I say it, Facebook appeal! To elaborate. The first one says, date me! While the other one says, date many people! ;)

web design - where is it headed?

Same here, I can write the code myself, but auto completion, automatic color coding, and of course a bit of search and destroy really cuts down on time :) I do occasionally enjoy the design view if I need to change a color or something. Hex codes ==> minds eye = mind boggling! I hate colors...

    My first website... Please help

Jeez, that's one fugly site ;) I definitely agree about the white background though. That alone will make the site much easier on the eyes. I would also like to see the animated .gif disappear, 'cause at 24 frames it just looks like it's skipping out of tune. :)

edinburgh hotels and travel website, please review.

That's nice! I've seen a few travel sites and this one is definitely a lot less cheesy! It's really all you need to make some decent travel arrangements. All I can say is that the header cell and the logo are a bit small. Once you leave the page it's easy to forget the name of the site! Make it...
