I suggest just becoming fluent in HTML and CSS if your not. Then maybe dabble in PHP and learn Wordpress. I personally think Wordpress is one of the best CMS's. There is also a lot of free wordpress templates.

First lose the music. Also landing pages are very dated. The colors are okay, but the yellow could be a little more blending with the green to form a light green color. Also all the moving around hurts my eyes. It might be better to just design it with HTML/CSS and no flash.

I like #2 and #10, Personally I would go with 2 because it looks fresh, isn't overwhelming with content. Very simple and clean look. Effective use of gradients as well.

Umm, the clicking down would have to be Javascript. If you are doing it with a tags/ div tags with a background image. then you could do the hover. Really would help if you pasted code or had it uploaded online. ---Don't like downloading anything---

This isn't a newbie project. You will need to know HTML, CSS, PHP, and MYSQL, maybe Javascript.

Definitely don't use pagetutor. They teach you html without closing tags and uppercase tags. I personally preferred just w3schools when I first started in HTML/CSS. For other languages I used other sites. http://tizag.com is good as well though.

I think the darker gold/light brown that you said works on CodeDoor. I took off the outer glow on the Web Design. The reason i had blue is because i had text before i added bird.

Maybe move the images to a portfolio page and not have it on the home page.
