So given your following question, you didn't really understand it while agreeing with it, because you missed one vital point.

but i think it will be better if i have lower bounce rate...

But from where?

Thirdly: In order to assist me in improving my 'articles' in the future, what is it that you "didn't get'?

hahhaha.. do you wanna Increase it or decrease it...??
Usually all wants to decrease the bounce rate neither wants to increase it..!!

Maybe, but for anyone with a website that is financed by advertising would absolutely love having a 'bounce rate' in excess of 75% because it means that the majority of visitors left by clicking on an advert, therefore potentially generating a conversion at the same instance.

So if 100% 'bounce' also means 100% conversions .... WHO in their right mind would want to reduce that??

The percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page. As per your information bounce rate is too high for better search engine result you need to improve it, your website should look good and informative as well.

Why you want to increase bounce rate . Bounce rate should always be at low rate . i think you have misunderstood the idea of bounce rate

There can be many reasons why a bounce rate is high. If your website is designed for users then your bounce rate should reflect your website. Your website is there to engage the visitor and provide them with an experience.

You should be aiming at decreasing the bounce rate. To do that first of all, check your analytics data and look for "exit pages" and "time on site"
find out what users donot like and which are those landing pages where people exit the website directly. Improve the content, quality of content and information on the website, ensure website loads fast and also have a nicely structured website. Should reduce bounce rate.

all the best., cheers

It's interesting that the person who makes that thread seems to have no idea of what a bounce actually is. The guy's goal should be to keep bounce rate low; however, he's saying how can he increase. I guess he may have well thought that bounce rate is like a valuable score given to a website by Google on the basis of that website's credibility in the eyes of Google.

Huh, You want to increase your bounce rate. I think you're confused and you want to decrease your bounce rate and wants that your visitor stays on your website for long time.

For this all your need informative and engaging content on your website and your website have must clean design.

If people who come to your website find what they were looking for right away, for example, contact info or social media links, then these are not real bouncers. I wouldn't be worried much about it and wouldn't consider a bounce rate any visit that is longer than 5 seconds. In any case, you can decrease your bounce rate if you make your website easy to navigate, have attractive and responsive design, create a sitemap and submit it to the search engines. Just a thought.

As there are many answers within this post, some good/most bad, and none of them mention this topic...

Since you're using Google Analytics, make sure you're filtering out spam referrers because that will kill your bounce rate (if you're wanting the percentage to be low). Referral spam is becoming a huge problem and I'm seeing it in my metrics and metrics of others.

Any rebuttals @chrishirst ? I'm picking on you because i know this is a valid point :D
