Hello everyone,
I have what is probably a no brainer question.
The company I work for has three domains, each featuring exactly the same content. For example, mycompanyname.com, mycompanyname.net, mycompanyname.co.uk.
I am of the impression that this is bad for SEO, and that each of the domains, when searched for, should redirect to one of of them only. Eg: '.net' and '.co.uk' both redirect instantly to the '.com' domain.
I asked our hosting provider to change this, however they told me that i would be just as well leaving it as it is, as it has no negative effect on SEO to have duplicate content online.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks in advance!

J
