would shared hosting be ok for new forums
It might, but how can we tell????
I just want to make a simple forum where people talk about politics.
The topic does not really matter either.
It is the resources that the site/system is going to require that will determine whether shared hosting is suitable or not
what do you mean by resources like the disk space and bandwidth
Processor utilisation, sometimes called 'Load Averages'.
Memory usage both average and 'burst'.
Data transfer (NOT the same as 'bandwidth').
Database queries per minute/hour.
thanks I got it
I think shared is good for starting.
Yeah! It's good, but sometimes it depends on hosting server like dedicated servers and others. As per my suggestion it's good and helpful.
That is a completely useless non-answer.
Shared hosting is always good for a start up. Moreover you can migrate to a virtual private server at any point of time once you know about the whereabouts of shared hosting.
That makes no sense at all, "know about the whereabouts" means?????
Separate names with a comma.
