    Hello All,

Being that we don't really have a graphic design "review" section like we do for web design, I figured I would ask for some feedback here. This is a card design I just did for a wheel and tire company, ICE Performance.

    What do you guys think?
    What works and what doesn't?
    What would you change?

Thanks in advance. Don't hold back say what you want, I welcome it all :D

Brilliant design. I really love how the phone, office, and address bullets are included in what looks to be a bolt/lug nut, very clever.

    Likes:
    - Good readability. That is the point isn't it?
    - Contrast.
    - Simple.

    Dislikes:
    - Font.
    - I couldn't imagine the tagline ('your car is our passion') being easy to read once printed.

I guess the actual card will be smaller than the image I see on screen. So i just wondered how it will look scaled down to actual size especially the tag line and map, other than that, great design, but the "our passion" on the tag line could maybe be clearer :)

The right image looks better, it's clean, and the left is too full...

    My suggestion:
    1. The front side will be as the right image with the owner name on it.
    2. The bottom red line also will be transferred to the front.
    3. On the back side all the information will go more left and bottom.
    4. The map will re-sized to bigger size (also righter and bottom).
    5. Your slogan will go to top and centered.

    See attached image...

Thanks Brad, awesome feedback. Yeah I was going for a lug nut shape, seemed very appropriate. The font for the main text is Eras, is that one you dont care for? or the font in the tagline? About the tagline, I was concerned about the contrast between the red and black as well. I have a test print being done today. We will see :D

Thanks for the compliments. The map does look small, but I have made a similar one for another company and it does read quite well actually. I agree with you on the tagline, checking a printed version today :D

Thanks for the feedback smoovo. The left was intended to have more info, and yes it does look a little full. Much of the info was requested by the owner (client). Nevertheless, I still think it has a decent flow. In your example I think there is break in the flow on the front of the card. the red overpowers everything? and it cuts in the wheel.

The right side...there is too much space between the information items (phone, email, address) , again creating a break in the flow. I do like the tagline centered though.

Thanks for taking the time to create a new mock up!

I used your images, so i got no choice with the red.. About the rest of what i sent, it's just to see how it looks if it's a little bit loose.

    But overall it looks good.

    I love it too!

The main font is ok for me. Readability is clear so really, it's fine.

One suggestion; what about changing the tagline colors around? "Your car" (or whatever it says) make that red and the "our passion" in white?

I don't know, just a suggestion, because I do think the "our passion" is hard to read.

    Clever design though, John!

Awesome Anna thanks! I put the red with the passion, just because I thought that helped illustrate the passion. Test print yesterday was readable but i made a few slight adjustments. Its tough having a red color on a black background.

Yes Eras. I think I just have a thing for not liking that font.

The designs are awesome especially the second one Well I think the first one would be astonishing if you add up a logo or a picture

Is the map an absolute must? How many people follow a map to a tire store from a business card? Especially how prevalent search engines are and also smart phones.

I think it detracts from the business card and it would be better without it all together.

A pretty solid business card design, all in all. The tagline could be fixed a bit more, though, since it is a bit hard to read through the screen and might be even harder to read once printed out. Also, it may not be immediately obvious that the company name is ICE, which means that it would be easy to forget as well. Still a very nice design, though.

I don't care for the bullets myself. I don't think that will show up well printed. I like the overall design but I think the logo ought to be on the front of the card rather than the tagline. :)
