Why do you need to re-design your website?

The forum administration should really consider a way for us to index articles like this, perhaps in a forum specifically for tutorials, articles, etc. Right now they're kind of just thrown in with all of the questions, which can get chaotic for new users.

Why do you need to re-design your website?

Another good article! This is definitely one of those must reads for anyone seeking to get web design services :)

Always glad to help :) Just remember that your viewers are nine times out of ten going to be on the lower end of the technology pool. If they can configure a computer that runs the latest in hardware and tech, odds are that they don't need someone else's services ;) (That's a bit of a...

Just a tip, you need to remember that 60% of users are still using 1024x768 (I do on my laptop anyway) so it might be a good idea to design with them in mind :) People shouldn't need to adjust their settings in order to view anyone's website, after all ;)

    Easiest design software, best results?

With no design expertise, Joomla is definitely the best bet here. However, you'll have to learn how to upload to a server, set up a database (MySQL most likely), and install a web application. Joomla comes with complete documentation on that I believe. Cost Effectiveness Dreamweaver can cost a...

    Review my websites

I'm a hobby designer (yeah, I made that cliche hated comment about myself) so I charge under $100 for competitive sites. The charge is more to support my various gaming habits, otherwise I would honestly offer my design services free. (What a freak right? I do it because I love and enjoy web...

    Internet Explorer Vs Firefox

I voted Firefox due to my long term use (been using it since 1.5) and reliance on the program to deliver all my web desires right to my lovely little laptop. With my crap laptop (256 ram, 2.0ghz pentium 4 processor, XP, not really my main comp, just for around the home web design) I can happily...

best approach to build dynamic website?

Alright, I think I get the idea behind what you're wanting to do. You've got a good idea for how you're going to do this, but I'm curious how well it will perform under heavy use (300+ user sites, 5000+ visits a day sort of heavy use) when it comes to load times. You gotta remember, if things...

    Private Label Shopping Cart?

It might just be worth the time to make your own (it'd be a good learning experience, and knowledge is power in the marketing business). I've taken a look over the software you're considering, and it seems legit. If you're looking for a quick, effective solution, that should be a good choice.

He's not talking about your javascript scroller, he's talking about the page itself having a large right margin and being able to scroll left to right using the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of his firefox window :)

    Like everyone else

Ok, first impression when coming to your site: Broken flow - Your flow (the path your eyes follow when you first see something) immediately broke for me when the page loaded. The navbar is red and just kinda sticks out into the page, ya know? This makes the page seem jagged. Then when my eyes...

How do I embed a Boardhost.com message board onto my own Website?

The height should automatically adjust itself, but just add a height="heighthere" to the <iframe> tag.

Are tables and frames unnecessary to learn?

On tables: Tables are used for data representation, rather than the (formerly) popular method of using them for page layout. If you have to display a series of numbers/dates/something along those lines in a column & row format, then it's safe to know how to use tables. That's their purpose. On...

Increase repeat visits to your website

I really enjoyed reading this article, and you structured it very well. You tend to write informative guides that are a great help to designers such as myself. This particular piece helped me, as I have issues appealing to repeat visitors, and hopefully I'll be able to adjust my style to appeal...
