Wordpress theme designing - help

I don't know anything about designing wordpress themes, but I'm about to learn, or try to. I have some tutorials I'd like to use that I'm going to go through but I work better with other people, and was wondering if anyone would like to take on the task of walking me through the process and/or answering questions as I have them?

I feel like learning to design them would be good for as basic knowledge, and would also like to convert my website into a wordpress site.

Read the wordpress codex, its a good start. Also look at the site digging into wordpress by Jeff Star and Chris Coyier. Theres a nice blank theme there yuo can use as a starting point, good luck.
