what are the downfalls on HTML5

i saw a video that it eats up RAM. A guy was comparing Flash with HTML5


also how much different it it XHTML will i be able to learn it fairly quickly or is it going to take more than a month. I have been coding for awhile now about 10 months i believe. All i really know though is XHTML and CSS im about to start getting into java.

HTML5 is the future, start learning it. The only major downfalls to it as of right now is that it's not a W# standard (Projected standardization is not until 2020) and it's not fully supported in all browsers but almost all of the newer browsers, IE9+, FF4+. Chrome 10+ has the best support, and others, here's a list for you, this will also cover the amazing CSS3... start learning this as well... http://www.findmebyip.com/litmus/ . Notice IE is really far behind in almost all categories.

Bottom line, learn it... the more you do the more you'll become to love it.
