Website criticism please?

Hi, Jak again

I've coded my 'template' if I may call it that, with exception that a few features are missing.

My intent in posting the link and an image preview here is mainly to see how the design goes down with everyone, not the code in particular yet, because I'm yet to add code and clean it up.

Please disregard the cheesy greeting text, and the quite possibly vain text underneath.
Also, the validator will return a mark saying '3 errors'. I'm aware of this, and why it's there. It's from some old code I inserted when I was going to integrate a cms. My apologies.

Thank you for your feedback, it's much appreciated.

Yep, I've a lot to improve on the page; dynamics, a favicon, navigation*, etc.

*I was planning to add a 'hover' navigation when the mouse is placed over the white transparent 'home' box. That, or a drop down menu in that same place.

I've yet to find a suitable script for that, as I'm javascript illiterate, so there's no chance in me making my own :L

Again, thankyou for your feedback, and this IS my first 'professional' template in which I'll use. Despite about a year of dabbing in Fireworks and a little bit of Photoshop. This is a previous design I thought about using, but I don't have a clue, and I don't know anyone who designs websites aswell :/

**Please note, I don't think I'm meant to use the four images, in the portfolio section. I intended to use them as placeholders, and thus, I wasn't going to post this to anyone publicly. If anyone recognizes any of the work, or they would like me to remove them, please don't hesitate to tell me.
