Hi there,

I am a total newbie designing a website.

What should i know in order to design a website?

I have Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver installed and I have photoshop 7.

What else do i need to know? HMTL or Javascript?

Are you familiar with using dreamweaver and photoshop, knowing how to use those two are a good start to developing a basic website.

with so many, different options available its quite difficult to know where to start. Are you interested more in the coding and physics of a site? or the design, layout and look of the site?

Creating layouts in photoshop, then slicing them in imageready is a simple way to create the basics. Then open html pages imageready will have created and add the links in dreamweaver. I'm sure there's hundreds of tutorials about doing this, and it's the first thing I ever got taught for web-design, kinda like 'how to create a pretty website in 10mins'.

Google is the best bet, and a spare few hours. You'll find everything you need to know and more!
