I am looking into web design templates. I build all my sites from
ground up and am now interested in seeing what the world of
templates has to offer.

Can anyone suggest some pointers on choosing a template?
This will be for a eco friendly geared web site.

I like working with css. Other templates are neat also.
If you can suggest a template site that would be great.
Something that has good seo.

Also what template tips do you have?
As far as amount of graphics, content, etc.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!

Here is a store front I did for a friends wife's hair salon using Zen Cart. Many hosting comapnies offer as a "one click install" or you can download and manually install it. You can accept credit cards, paypal, or google checkout or all 3 if you want. It has a pretty easy to use back end and the templates are all xhtml and css.

There are 2 sites that I usually browse for templates: 4templates and template monster.

Personally I have used template monster but never uses 4templates.

Thank you for the wonderful kind suggestions.
The Zen Cart option just might be the way to go.
The Hair salon site with the shop looks very simple.
I will look into the template sites you recommended.

one ive had a bit of experience with is templaterover its got a pretty large collection and its also cheaper when it comes to purchasing them because they have a membership program or somthing like that

Have you Website hosting if not get a cheap webhost which has CPanel and Fantastico, Fantastico is an automatic script installer which has many template style scripts from CMS (like Joomla, Mambo etc) to Shopping carts sites (like OSCommerce, ZenCart) and many many more. Its a great way to start experimenting with templates you want to test and it installs them on your host without headaches.
