Tracking mobile phones?

Is there a decent free service out there for tracking how many visitors to a site are using mobile phones, and which one? I have AWstats, but are they any good for that?

Not sure about this, but there must be site stats trackers that collect the browser type, or OS, I think that would be way to identify that visits are from mobile devices.

I know AWstats does, just wondering about accuracy. I probably should just google them and get people's opinions.
