Strange question regarding java

SO, does anyone know of a site somewhere that has access to statistics showing how big a percentage of browsers have java enabled?

Cause, i was doing a jquery menu, and someone told me "Not many people have java active in their browser, usually turn it off"
And I'm not sure that's true.. Or is it?

You mean Javascript, which is not the same thing as Java. I think most users have Javascript enabled these days, because many if not most sophisticated modern websites require it to work properly.

Having Java disabled is not the same as not allowing javascript, two different animals. If you have any concerns, turn off java on all the web browsers your using (you should be using multiple ones) and try.

About 1.3% in the world have it disabled. Highest in US.

Admitting that it was a bad formulation won't cut it! You have to really repent your sins! Otherwise you will go to designers' hell!!
