My server uses both AWStats and Webalizer, I'm not really sure how to use either overly effectively .

One question though: is there anyway I can get my stats counter to stop counting ME?? Obviously I can read around my own IP address but it's still quite annoying.

i recommend www.statcounter.com if you need a free independant counter. just try and stay off the website lol the ip thing is the only one i know of. technically you could write a program that checks for a cookie and if found doesn't count it. you'd be the only one with the cookie.

Personallly I don't think it gets a whole lot better than Google Analytics, its free, fairly simple to install, and extremely powerful.

Another choice that is also fantastic, however not free, is re-invigorate. Theres some very cool features that come with that one as well, if you feel like paying for it of course...
