Software homepage review

I'm making a site for my "most prominent" project. Its still relatively early in development, but I've gotten the template worked out as well as the base system.

It doesn't really explain much about the actual software yet, but I'd like to (at least) get it looking nice :)
Just a note about the software itself: It's my IRC bot so hopefully the site will fit that theme :)

(it should support any decently modern browser, but I've only tested it in Firefox and Konqueror, so tell me if it doesn't work for you)

Thanks!

1. for all your image buttons use border="0"
<img src="resources/gen_images/home_button.png" border= "0" alt="Home"></a> in order to make the blue box disappear.
2. you can add the news and announcements on the left column and make a nice logo and add a nice slogan on the header
3. colors..hmm..try using another light color..like a blue to black or white gradient..

the layout looks completely wrong, all those scroll bars within tables should go.

The image borders should be fixed now, and I got rid of the extra scrollbars on the news and announcements section.
I didn't move anything around, but it should look cleaner now.
