What if you fail to reach front page of social bookmark sites like Digg.com, Reddit.com. Do you still get traffic from them? How much? Please share your experiences. Thanks.
I recently had opportunity to read one blog post, where blogger talked about his experience about getting to digg's homepage.
His server crashed same day because he got about 40 K visitors, and his server was far from being able to handle such traffic in one day...
Yes, I still generate some traffic from social bookmarking. What I often do is that I share those links to other sites too, so the traffic is multiplied eventually.

I don't know how all this works, I'm just a newbie, but I prefer to post only on dofollow social bookmarking services. Actually I don't think this can bring a lot of traffic, but maybe my links get some juice from such sites.
