Site to accept credit card payment?

I am a newbie to web design.

I need to find out what I have to do to include in a page the ability to accept credit card payment, given a secure page to start with. The "product" is simply enrollment in a group, but they want the site able to handle this.

I suspect i could go to the folks who we run VISA/MC through, but I would rather not announce my ignorance to the rest of the free world if I can help it...

Given your experience level I'd suggest setting up a paypal account and getting a 'buy now' button. It is the easiest solution where you can simply "include it in the page".

Yeah, I am agree with you. Paypal is the best one online payment for business transaction. Its secure and easy to customize in site pages.

I wouldn't say paypal is the "best" option really, but for this purpose it would be fine.
(a seamless payment gateway would ultimately be the best option.)...
