Responsive website with absolute positioning menu

I have a client that wanted this design, the menu will be on top of the image and I'm having problems with it to stay in Place when I make my window smaller

Anyone have any good tutorials or tips on how to make a menu like this.

"responsive" and "absolute positioning" just don't work together.

Position: absolute; means it is going stay where it is put regardless of what happens around it.

yes I know, but thats how I did it at first because I didnt know how to put a meny on top of the image. any suggestions there.

Set the image as a body background. Then, use relative positioning and float:right for the menu.
