Hello. I had several pages that the URL name has changed, but content remained the same. My old webmaster left each version of the page on the server, so eventually I had 3 versions of the same page, all with just different URLs. He then moved the site to a different server and changed the URLs again - all without setting up any redirects. Therefore, I lost my rankings because all pages on the old server became 404s.
Eventually I took over and I set up 301 redirects for all of the old pages and pointed them to the new URL. My question is, what should I expect to see with all of the old pages (they are all 404s now). Might they all still stay indexed and then be redirected to the new page? Or will the rankings for the redirected 404s be consolidated into the page to which they are redirected?
