Nowadays, we can learn everything about programming on the web. Most of what we do in my programming class is stuff I can do since long before college.

So I'm wondering if going at the university will really be productive in my life...

    Depends..

I would recommend getting a job in the field.. even at minimum wage to start- Thats what I did 3 yrs ago and now im make pretty good money.

When it comes to programming and web development sometimes all you need to get the right job is a great portfolio and/or job history. Employers know that school is really more of base knowledge, even in specified fields.
