Question regarding redirects

Hello,
I have two domain names
www.site1.com
www.site2.com

I have created a site in subdirectory www.site2.com/sub
I want www.site1.com to redirect to it.

I've done a simple redirect from www.site1.com to www.site2.com/sub

What I want though if possible is for www.site1.com to appear in the address bar.

Am I making sense? Not sure if it even possible

The only way to do this would be to setup a full screen iframe. There is no way to mask the URL of a page using .htaccess or anything like that.

Can suggest you to contact your current hosting provider's support team and ask them for help.

They will not be able to help - this is not possible to setup

Maybe be possible if you have access to mod_rewrite settings. You can just rewrite requests from / to /sub/

Just do some googling on "mod rewrite".
