Problem with table spaceage in dreamweaver

For some reason, the spacing in the tables look different in different browsers. For example, in IE the upper space in a table is always more than the upper space in firefox, but firefox makes most of my tables looks bigger than it should be. I'm having trouble with compadibility, and it usually has to do with how each broswer spaces things by default. How do I fix it so the site looks the same no matter what browser?

I know Dreamweaver has an error checker, but it doesnt help me find the spacing correction.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but try cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0, and it usually works better if the width is in pixels, not percent.
