Portfolio Redesign

Hey I have recently revised my portfolio site and I wanted to get some opinions on it. Currently there is not too much fancy going on here a couple of nice features to mention are:

fluid layout
xhtml and css based site (no tables yay)
xslt to pull in my blog feed.

As always it is a portfolio so it is a work in progress.

I like the site, but that reall big graphic with the pink center graphic, while it looks really nice, it doesnt really serve a useful purpose and it takes up a lot of the page.

It's ok. My only feeling is that it's not too modern looking. Nowadays everything has to look web 2.0 to impress.
