Heya, I want to create a page with a list on it. I also want visitors to be able to choose the order; by date added, alphabetical and by type.

so basically, you are looking to build a custom shopping cart system.
again, i am not really familiar with php, but you will want to look into session variables and arrays for storing data. you will also need to use a database to both store the information you want displayed on page and to store the users order details.
