The best way is to manually test them. I suggest downloading Firefox, Opera, Safari, and MultipleIEs (so you can use IE6).

...and hell, why not try Google Chrome too.

Suz offers a good suggestion. I use browsershots on occasion as well.

Browsershots is good for reviewing how a site "looks" in different browsers, but I believe the most important thing is functionality -- which can/should only be checked manually, via web browser.
