New website for a client - Looking for a little Feedback

I love using fireworks for my .png files, you can open the image right on the server via ftp and edit text like a word document, no need to go to the .psd file make the changes and then up load.
Besides I always either delete or forget where I keep my .psd originals.

I think the shading on your borders on the navigation and body make the site seem dated.. (just some friendly criticism)

you should NOT being using native fireworks pngs on the web (fireworks pngs contain extra metadate that is stripped out when you export).
use export and choose the appropriate format for each file. so your recycling thing can be a jpeg and around 30-40kb instead of 220.

lose the centred text - left align it

i find it confusing that there are 2 metals plate graphics: one is a logo and one, well isn't.

a lot of code errors including missing alt attributes

reign in the drop shadows a bit - less is more

otherwise it's a presentablle site

the header looks a bit like an advert, floating there above the main site - how removing the black divider and move the social iocons to the nav (on the right hand side)?
