Need Some Help

Im looking to build a website that allows people to post adverts for stuff that they have to sell and also to give away for free in your local area you could say something like a adtrader website.

What im looking for is any programes that would help me with the site as i know how to design a site but its the setting up accounts and allowing people to post and search etc im stuck at.

For posting and selling stuff... If you are looking at providing checkout for users, maybe you need os commerce. If you are thinking of just letting people posting the items (and they deal with the payment and stuff), then maybe you can work with a forum engine such as phpbb.

However, I would think that no matter which engine you use, you probably need a developer to work with you on this...
