Need some advice

When designing sites for clients, I usually have a solid idea of what to do to meet their needs. When it comes to my site, I always struggle because... when do you stop and say "That's good enough for now."

I am having a hard time figuring out what I want to do with the body of my site to make it more graphically pleasing. I currently like the Header, navigation, and footer. I also like the slider div on the homepage. I cannot seem to come up with anything I like. I would love some suggestions from other designers. Please let me know what your thoughts are.

tone the blue down.
fix the spacing issues in the header wording...
crea tive ? etc...

actually revisit all the type it could do with some work.
left align, not centred, widows etc...

the boxes are pretty unexciting, the last one is missing a border.

your code too is a bit messy and way too many scripts. try combining them so you dont have as many requests.

3/10?... that sounds about fair.

Yeah im not a fan of that blue... it hurts my eyes.

I noticed that I have some side scrolling on Chromer Mac. The site comes off as a bit boring to be honest man. Boxy it looks unstyled.. The nav is off center theres just nothing to keep me on your site. Broken image on who we are. I checked it out... this is what comes up as the source for the image... <img src="%20%20%20%20%20That%27s%20It%21%20Creative%20Services%20is%20a%20Graphic,%20Website,%20and%20Multi-Media%20Design%20company%20headquartered%20in%20Goldsboro,%20NC.%20%20We%20primarily%20serve%20all%20of%20Eastern%20North%20Carolina%20including%20but%20not%20limited%20to%20Raleigh,%20Goldsboro,%20Greenville,%20Kinston,%20New%20Bern,%20Jacksonville,%20Wilmington,%20etc.%20%20Even%20though%20that%20is%20our%20home%20area,%20we%20will%20work%20with%20anyone%20from%20anywhere%21%20%20%20%20%20%20We%20are%20a%20group%20of%20master%20design%20and%20coding%20ninjas%20with%20a%20knack%20for%20bringing%20what%20you%20imagine%20to%20life%20through%20technological%20mediums.%20%20Our%20goal%20is%20to%20have%20every%20client%20say%20%22That%27s%20It%21%22%20when%20we%20show%20them%20their%20final%20product.%20%20We%20bend%20over%20backwards%20to%20make%20sure%20every%20client%20feels%20like%20they%20got%20more%20than%20they%20paid%20for.%20%20We%20understand%20that%20without%20our%20clients,%20we%20are%20nothing.%20">

Its basically the whole first paragraph...

The only good thing about it in my eyes is the slider images and the fact you're not using tables to design...

I would recommend looking into css3 and working with some HTML5 but i wont get into that till we get the colors better, again the blue is harsh on the eyes and the mixture of that blue and that grey its just boring and dull to me.

I give it a 3 out of 10. Lots of room for improvement but its a start...

I pretty much agree with what's been said thus far but want to throw in a couple more suggestions:

Lose the clipart; you are a designer so you should show off some of your own graphics.

If you want to really make the body text "pop", look on fontsquirrel.com and find a highly legible, classy looking font and use that as a web font.

I think the color didn't blend well together. Gray is kinda elegant and classy looking but the blue and orange are kinda off with me. I think if you could replace blue with indigo but brightened or something like that and no orange i think.. The font is not so pleasing, it's a bit smaller (i mean the header). I think you can do better, it looks as if something is missing and is not right, I think you need to have a concept and a lil inspiration.

honestly.. its salvageable?

the mac background with the gray/black COULD look nice.
everything else looks very dated. I've been a professional web designer/developer for about 10 years and have not once found a use for default blue and red colors.. let alone together on the same site!
you should really play around with using more subtle colors and drop shadows for EVERYTHING.

all of your stock icons/section titles should really be redone completely.. feels very powerpoint to me.

sorry to be harsh..

This is a fair opinion. I maybe a blue fanatic but too much won't do you any good.

Don't like the the thick horizontal bars.....there not slick or clean or cute.

You could compress all the information on the front page quite a bit so the user doesn't have to scroll so much....Tighten it up...I'm generally put the contact information where it is seen right when the page loads up.....Don't count on the viewers chasing through your content to get there.

I like efficient concise layouts.
