Need quick review

As I was designing this website, I grew used to the layout. I hadn't planned how I was going to set it out, but I ended up just freestyling in Photoshop and came out with some graphics which became the basis for the site.

However, I'm concerned that the layout may not be best. I think perhaps I should open it up so that I'm not confined to a small area in the middle of the page.

What do you think?


Don't worry about the content, I haven't filled all that in yet.

Thanks. I think you would have had quite a bit more to say had I not updated it.

The top portion kind of hurts my eyes. Darker colors pull the eyes, so whenever I look at the top my eyes are being draw downward. When I look at the darker area below, the brighter top is a like a flashlight shinning in my eyes.

It could just be my aging eyes though.
