I have the same problem. I have searched a few sites and I have what i think is needed to build my site. I have hosting, a domain, dreamweaver, and filezilla. All I really want is a wordpress site that i can use for my blog and to sell a few items but after reading different posts online, I ended up with everything mentioned above and several others.
Everyone always tell you how easy it is but i must be missing something. i downloaded a wordpress e-commerce plug in today but had no clue as what to do with it. Can someone please pointme in the right direction.

Thanks in advance and please be kind as i am totally new at this.

If you don't have wordpress installed already,

Look around the cpanel of your hosting company. Alot of them offer "one click installs" or "fantastico deluxe" (just depends on what your hosting company calls it) Wordpress will usually be an option. Just fill in a few options and the host will install it automatically. Once it's installed you will have to unzip and upload the plugin via filezilla into your wp-plugins folder. Once that's done you will login to your wordpress admin section and enable the plugin you just uploaded. Almost everything for wordpress is done through the admin console with the exception if uploading files to your server (themes, polugins, etc).

If you tell me what hosting company you went with I could give you more detailed instructions.

I recommend looking for the WP E-commerce plugin, easy to install and set up a store.

If you still having trouble go to my site and send a request, I might be able to help you.

Good Luck.
