My production company Topshelfd Entertainment just launched our site. My goal was to have a well functioning site to display our content as well as others so I incorporated a social network//youtube style system where you can create a profile and upload your own videos. I'm still working on the design and adding features and was just looking for some feedback or suggestions to make it even better. Thanks!

Idea is nice, but u are right... Give a little more effort to the design, try to match ups some colors, line up things and u're there. Give a people reason to get back.
Most people see the site and in the 5 sec period they decide if they're return. Work on that

Yeah I'm having a hard time with colors. I'm more of a programmer then a graphic designer so I don't really know what would work well with the site. Thanks for the feedback!

Word! I thought I was the only one! I'll do a design, spend a week trying to get the colors right, and then two days later I'll go - wow, those colors are horrible!

Anyway I think you should go with white-ish colors for a social related site. Most people feel comfortable with white, I don't know why!
