Hi all,
I'm brand new to this forum. I'm a 16 year old aspiring web designer. I began designing about a year ago, and have been trying to follow web standards quite religiously [except for a flash site =)]. I've always enjoyed critiqueing other designer's sites. So if you have a bit of time check out my recent work.

You design attractive templates and it's great!
I liked the colors you’ve chosen for your current project and I was trying to follow the other links at your portfolio page. Though, I wasn’t successful because your links don’t work properly.
johnharrisdesign.com/business turns into Page Not Found
and the link to the third template (a grey template for a photographer) leads me you your own portfolio.

Generally you have a nack for web design, but if I had to pick one area of weakness for you, it'd be graphic design. You might want to spend some time brushing up on techniques, which will then show themselves in your website Overall your sites all tend to come together well, besides the link issues mentioned by Gorgy.

thank you for the comments. I fixed the links, they were broken because I changed hosts, and the file structure. I started learning CSS in August, so I hope I'll get better. As far as graphic design goes I agree I definitely need to improve in that aspect. My current project doesn't quite reflect my graphic design ability because its a low budget website.

If you go to the portfolio the links to my other two sites will work.

no its actually my first post, and it is referencing all the websites of made to date. The post you previously read was a post I made a few days after this psot to determine whether my new layout was better, same, or worse.

It's a really nice site! I love the design, it has a bit of the grunge look with more modern and cleaner colors. I like the flash part, it's really balanced, not to active and it fits the site well.
I find it really difficult to learn Flash, I'm getting really frustrated with the timeline. So even more credit for you ;-)

I like it and its very well designed. I haven't done anything with flash yet and dont have a use for it on my site atm. I plan on teaching it to myself soon just to know if i need to use it i can. Well great job and keep up the good work =)
