My FIRST site is going online- Considerations before I upload it

Hi,

My FIRST corporate web page is going to be uploaded soon. Apart from adding the necessary key words and description tags, I have checked links and code validity in Dreamweaver MX, tested the site in IE6 and Mozilla, and uploaded the pages to W3C, and they all came back as 'valid'. Is this sufficient? Are there any considerations that I have overlooked? I am new to the industry and I want my first site to be successful.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Be sure you check load times and image sizes after the pages are available online. There are a lot of apps that help do this - I use Netmechanic, but that is just out of habit more than anything else.

And then of course theres all the advertising, marketing and SEO.
