Making a vote system

Could this be done in html? Basically you click a button and it adds to a counter 1 at a time. How would this be made?

Well you can't do it with just plain HTML. You would need to include server side scripting and a database.

If you are a novice when it comes to php and databases, don't worry. There are services that will generate this for you.
