Hello All,

I have being trying to make a favicon that is rectangular and thus bigger than the normal favicons without any luck. Examples of such favicons are at PayPal and Firefox websites. I have tried looking at the script but the favicon link in script is a std 32x32px icon. This std icon can be seen when viewing the page off-line. When online the favicon is a long green rectangular shape with text.

If anyone knows the 'knack' or has some code or direction here, I would really be grateful.

This is not a "new" favicon design (unfortunately) but rather a feature of FF3 that shows the given site has an Extended Validation certificate. Sites with this type of SSL certificate will have the green bar next to them. Check this article out for additional info: CNet
