agree with you on the first one, however it kind of reminds of a gaming site, so i am not to sure how suitable it really is.

the second one i don't really care for.

not sure what you mean by theme, but it's kind of an online magazine/resource site, catering to web devs and designers alike. we want the site to kind of have more of a fun/casual styling, rather than a strict corporate styling. i hope that at least somewhat answers your question.
