    I am a developing an intranet site for my company. i want to put a link to a folder which has the latest virus definitions. so when people click that folder they will go to that folder and download whatever they want according to their OS.
    this folder is on a different server on a corporate network.
    how do i link a folder?

    Maybe talk to the IT people, it sounds like a simple networking thing, mapping HD's, etc...
    If you're the IT guy, then what do you mean by a link, what kind of "link"?

    Like an html link. click the link and the users will see that folder.

    If they are not on the same server and not networked in any way you will have to use a domain name or IP address of the server to which you wish to link.
