Learning ASP.NET

Hi everyone

I'm new to this forum and I've been asked to look at ASP.NET as an alternative to PHP for a web development project, however I have mostly written PHP scripts but never touched the .NET framework.

What are the best resources out there in terms of books or articles which will help me adapt from PHP?

The ASP.NET MVC books are a good read. I think they're on 3.0 now.
