I spend hours on the web everyday and have decided to start an affiliate site, but dont know anything about building a website. The more I research, the more I feel like I have to learn. Do I need to read a book or something before I dive into this, or will a site builder walk me through things that I dont understand?

The fastest way would be to go to wordpress.com or blogger.com and just start a blog. You can always learn site building as you go along.

yea Id recommend a book, its nice to have reference on hand without having to scour the internet for a lot of your answers. Heres a good one HTML: Definitive Guide. Also check out W3 Schools they have a lot of helpful beginner articles
