IE6. Is it still a matter in web designing? This version of Internet explorer is the most problematic when it comes to web designing.

You'll hear answers all over the spectrum on this. I've completely stopped bothering with tweaking for IE6, unless the target audience is someone who still uses it a lot, i.e., old people.

... i code for ie8 or greater as ie6 is like 5 years old there is a very small % of people who still use ie6

Recently I designed a template for one of my customers and he called me about unstability of the design. He is using IE6 and is insisting on his mind. I can't convince him about that this is browser compatibility and you are using an outdated software. I don't know how to treat him or this situation. I think I have to fix it anyway. My bad luck.

I TRY to design for IE7 and up, but if something gets in my way I make only a minimal effort to make it work -- So I pretty much shoot for IE8 and up.
