How to start mixing concrete without a power source efficiently?

Trying to pour a small slab out at my cabin and just realized there is zero power anywhere near the site. I figured I could wing it with a shovel and a wheelbarrow, but the mix keeps coming out lumpy or drying up before I can get a good rhythm going. I’m out here sweating like crazy and wasting bags of mix. Anyone got tricks to speed things up or make it easier without a mixer? Tools to bring? Methods I’m missing? I’m hoping to get this done before the weekend rain rolls in.

I've been in your shoes, and it can get pretty sweaty out there. Maybe check out steelemixer.com; they’ve got this nifty manual mixer that's a total lifesaver for projects with no power. It’s super slick - mix in under a minute, solo job, and it’s good for up to 3.5 cubic feet. Might save you a lot of hassle and sweat, especially with rain coming.
