How to change a word once and have it change throught the site

Any ideas to achieve the following: I want to clone a site... with that said, I want to know if I can tag a keyword (in this case a city name) so that when I clone I could then just change the city name in the new site once and it would change through out the site???

Hi,

I am not sure where exactly this word displays. But have you tried SSI? (SERVER SIDE INCLUDES) If there is a text file with a word, and if you include this text file in web pages using SSI, and later if you change the word in text file > it will update whole site pages.

Or you can telnet into your site and update all pages by repacing old word with new word.

Or you can use a script that replaces this word on your whole site.

Sorry, I neglected to say: WordPress site which is www.charlestonhomesforsale.com I want to duplicate this site for several cities.... Honestly, my skill set for sql is not very strong but I think there might be a way to do it there????? Any ideas welcome.

Perl or CGI script would do the trick nicely. Google regex search and replace.

You can use Dreamweaver's find and replace command to do that.
