How much to charge my first real client

Ok, well I have my first true potential client. His current webpage is old, and out-dated, and he pretty much just wants a complete redesign to bring it current. It's your basic static website. It's about 20 pages, but they're basic. Simple php contact form, some informative pages, and some youtube videos. He did mention some sort of podcast, which I'm not sure how to do yet.

So...My question is...how much should I charge? I know it depends on alot, but you have to remember, I'm new to this.

Thanks!

Gary

work out how many hours you think it'll take, double that and times by your hourly rate.
that will give you a ballpark to work around. depending on the client, you should be able to judge whether to up or down that amount...

Could be a good idea to take different factors into consideration aswell, i.e. are you portfolio building? do you need the work?

If so this could be good promotional work for you and so it might be in your interest to actually do it at a very reasonable price.
