How Important Is Privacy When Setting Up a Limited Company?

One thing that surprised me is how much company information becomes publicly available after incorporation. How did you approach protecting your personal address and other details? Did you use director service addresses or other privacy services?

Jumping in on this older post because this is still a big deal for many people starting out. I used a director service address from a formation agent for about 50 pounds a year, and it kept my home address off the public register completely. Has anyone here tried using a virtual office address instead, or found a cheaper way to handle this without signing up for a monthly service?
