How does one create a custom calculator? Who do I hire for this?

I am looking to create a custom calculator for a client website. Or possibly hire someone to do this.

The client is selling store 'stages' that take up a certain amount of floor space and elevate the products as well as allow for larger displays. He wants to put a calculator on the website to determine how many stages could be placed in the store based on the amount of square footage.

For example if the stages take up 20'x20' then the client puts in 2500 sq ft (or whatever their floor space is) the calculator computes how many stages can be fit in the store.

What do you recommend or where could I get estimates to have something like this created?

2500/(20*20)

A simple javascript function will do that

But of course experience suggests that you have way under specc'ed the project and erecting a stage that is one unit high over the entire area is probably not that much use for display purposes.
