how do you create an online forum website??

hey all,

i want to create an online forum website and i am not sure which web page editor will help do this at a high quality level. i am pretty new to computer software and so dont really know what software i would need to make an online forum. i was wondering if macromedia dreamweaver can help me create an online forum. if so, please could someone let me know how dreamweaver can help me acheive this. if it cant help me create an online forum, can you recommend any software/product that can help me create an online forum?

will cost you some money, but is easy to set-up.

http://phpnuke.org/
a little harder to setup but is free, open source

You could go into dreamweaver, and create your own forum, but you will have to learn a web scripting lanquage such as PHP and MySql. Also to write your own forum would take a very long timeif you want to have some advanced features that many forum users are use too. I would reccomend using one of the two above.
