Help needed building an online shop and adding digital downloads

Please can someone help me? I am trying to build a website for a friend, but they also want to be a 'shop' using paypal.

I don't really know how to build this into the website, please can someone tell me if its fairly easy to do and how I go about it?

They also want to include digital wave downloads which they wish to sell on there, can someone help me with that too??

There is a pretty awsome opensource ecommmerce platform called http://www.magentocommerce.com/ , you could just add CSS to it that matches your website.
