Please visit http://www.openden.com/ and comment on how it looks and what it needs.

I had this site on custom PHP/MySQL pages for a while.
I have tried few other open source CMS before coming to XOOPS. I find the XOOPS interface and code the most intuitive.

At present there is nobody at the forums and nothing at the downloads. I am working on getting some tutorials to host.

best wishes,

Well I really like the idea of the site, and, the logo is nice, but all the text on the homepage is just too much, it's a little mind boggling. It needs a little more organization on the home page. Good luck! It looks good so far.

jbrown said it really well, way way too much text on that homepage, it all looks way too busy and I would not click any further. It needs to be simplified.

Hooray for open source

Just to add my 2cents, the blue and the green type doesnt help with any resemblance of a hierarchy, my eye just keeps jumping around, "where do you want to lead me", I would make sure the thin line for the footer extends the width of the content, I would remove the black background behind the amazon.com links, and I've never dealt with ad placement before, but perhaps you could narrow the field of ads to be more specific, I found "Orgasm: The Very Best of the Westbound Years" cd and "The Little Mermaid (Two-Disc Special Edition) " dvd through your site but I'm not sure of the relevance they have to your site.

Thank you very much for the critique and suggestions.

I will try and reduce the amount of text. May be more prominent graphics for section headings will help, you think ?

Amazon Omakase is really not serving the right ads for my site. I will remove them. To utilize the space, I may just promote books selected by me and not let Amazon do it.

best wishes,
