Think Outside The Box!
Google's 'back link' "special search" hasn't worked as anyone thinks it does since 1998, so your "method" is completely useless and pointless.
AND in keeping with your usual practice of getting it WRONG.
Google have NEVER had a domain: search operator that showed links to a webite. It was Yahoo! that had a linkdomain: operator to show links that point to ANY url on the site rather than links that pointed ONLY to the root URL.
Yahoo! also had a domain: operator that was the equivalent of the Google site: operator.
So please try and get your facts right before making bold announcements or offering "advice".
You may disagreed with my practices, but I am amazed at the number of people followed my advice, tried it for themselves, and got the results they're seeking.
Using the above mentioned practices shown, not only will you be able to find out who's linking to you, you are also in the know of sites mentioned of your web property, and how & what was used on their site(s) that somehow your website was involved, linked, and anchored.
When you think "outside the box", amazing things happen!
